Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Feedgest
Feedgest supports RSS feeds, newsletters via email forwarding, X, Telegram channels, YouTube channels, and GitHub releases. All sources flow into a single unified feed. We will soon add more based on what users actually want
The free plan will be introduced after we pass the alpha stage into beta. It will include a modest rate limit, capped sources and digest profiles, with some feature restrictions to be detailed closer to beta
Each digest is assembled from your latest items against your chosen filters — topics, keywords, and AI instructions you configure. The output is a categorized summary at your preferred detail level, delivered through whichever channels you enable.
Yes. You pick which topics to follow and which to filter out, add your custom AI instructions to control how summaries are written, and choose the delivery schedule, detail level, and channels. The blocklist keeps out anything you'd rather never see.
There are no mobile apps yet. Whether we build them depends on how the alpha goes — if there's real demand, we'll invest there. The web app works on any phone today.
No. We don't sell data, we don't run telemetry, and we don't profile you. Your reading activity stays between you and the app — nothing leaves to feed an ad network or data broker.
Yes, via OPML import. We validate each feed before adding it — only working, accessible feeds make it in.
Yes. Each profile can target different sources, topics, schedules, and delivery channels — one for work, one for personal, or however you want to split things.
